Humble greetings to all who enter here!

My Name is Jeff, and I was diagnosed as a type 1 diabetic on April 1, 2001.
Since moving back to Ohio from Vermont I realized very quickly, there needs to be help in this state for people to get insulin when they have no way of paying for it!

I currently am unemployed, with no health insurance, and not even elegible for any assistance from the state "welfare" programs, because I do not have a dependent child living with me...(?) I am elegible for a food card, but no "health card" or benefits of any kind.
As a type 1 diabetic, this means that the state of Ohio is literally telling me they don't care if I die! This is no exaggeration, because a "type 1" diabetic will just go into a coma and die without insulin! Of course, when I did have a job, they were happy to take out state, city, and federal taxes....and even "Social Security" ...which will be gone even if I do manage to survive until I am 65!

The point of this website is to advocate for people who are basically getting screwed by the State of Ohio, and to try to provide help for people by sharing the information and resources I have found in my efforts. If I can ease just one person's fear and suffering, then this is worth the all time and effort I can put into it!

My first helpful links with be to: Sanofi Aventis for their Patient Assistance Program!

They make Lantus and Apidra ...the two types of insulin I need to stay alive!
They came through for me when my state let me down!
I'm still alive because of them...thank you, Sanofi Aventis!
BOOOOO state of Ohio!
